Bangladesh Physicians Strengthen Expertise in Advanced Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) Therapy Through International Collaboration

The initiative was conducted in collaboration with CuraWay, the leading RFA Ablation System manufacturer in China, renowned for its innovative technologies in tumor ablation, hemorrhoid treatment, endovenous varicose vein ablation, pain management, and other minimally invasive procedures.
Since introducing RFA technology in Bangladesh, Unique Medi Trade has been actively working with leading international experts and manufacturers to develop local clinical expertise in various ablation therapies, including:

That morning, the delegation first visited the History Museum of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University. Through precious historical photos, documents, and exhibits, the visiting physicians gained a deep understanding of the hospital’s more than 100-year development history, achievements in discipline construction, and its “patient-first” hospital culture. They were deeply impressed by the profound historical and cultural heritage and outstanding medical strength of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University. Following this, the delegation visited the laboratory of the Ultrasound Medicine and Biomedical Engineering Research Center, learning about the construction of the basic experimental platform of the Ultrasound Medicine Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University, as well as the working environment and academic atmosphere of the researchers.
Following this, the delegation visited the conference room of the Department of Ultrasound Medicine and held a discussion with Professor Huang Pintong, Director of the Department of Ultrasound Medicine. Director Huang warmly welcomed the visiting physicians and thanked them for their trust and recognition of the Department of Ultrasound Medicine at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University. During the exchange, Director Huang systematically introduced the department’s development history, discipline construction, clinical diagnosis and treatment, scientific research and innovation, talent training, and international exchange and cooperation, focusing on sharing the clinical application and unique advantages of ultrasound-guided interventional diagnosis and treatment techniques.
In the afternoon, the delegation visited the operating room of the Department of Ultrasound Medicine for on-site observation and learning. They observed several ultrasound-guided interventional treatment procedures personally performed by Director Huang Pintong, including radiofrequency ablation of thyroid microcarcinomas, ablation of liver tumors, sclerotherapy of renal cysts, and fine-needle aspiration biopsy of thyroid nodules. During the procedures, Director Huang provided detailed explanations of the indications, key points of operation, and clinical application experience of the relevant techniques, using case examples.
